The Details:

From their Go Fund Me Page:

Dawn recently underwent the first surgery for a double mastectomy. She was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, which runs in her family. Her mother currently has breast cancer and her Grandmother died from it. And to make matters worse, Jason and Gage are both diabetic, which adds to the expenses that they already have to deal with for their medication and special dietary needs. Gage is such a sweet kid. When he gets home from school, he makes eggs for his Mom because he knows that she needs to eat to keep up her strength.

This family is dealing with much more than any one family should have to and they could really use our help with medical bills and food expenses. Dawn has a long road ahead of her and the expenses are going to be very high. She has to make frequent trips from Belmont, NY to Roswell in Buffalo which is 4 hours, round trip - another huge expense! There is no way that they will be able to afford everything. Having to worry about finances will make it more difficult for Dawn to concentrate on the most important thing - getting better and beating this cancer!

If you are able to help financially, even in a small way, it would be greatly appreciated. If you are not able to help financially, I would like to ask for your prayers for Dawn and her family, and ask that you pass this on to your friends and family. I love these three so much and really hope that this works! Thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart!

Last Update:

Dawn is continuing her treatments and going for 1-2 appointments per week, each with a co-pay. The costs of the co-pays plus the gas to and from Roswell are getting out of control. And to add to that, their son, Gage, was in the hospital twice in the last few weeks with his sugar out of control. They have changed his medication and we're hoping that this gets his diabetes back under control. If you are able to help, it would be greatly appreciated. And keep those prayers coming!
